Frequently Asked Questions
Arise Women of Africa is a continental movement dedicated to empowering and uplifting African women to overcome unique challenges and take their rightful place in shaping the future of Africa. We are built on unshakeable principles that uphold justice, equity, and continental unity.
We actively host conferences and workshops focused on leadership and entrepreneurship, run structured mentorship programs, organize networking events, and spearhead advocacy campaigns to influence policy and social issues affecting women
Our continental headquarters is located in Zimbabwe. However, our leadership team and network extend across borders, including representative chapters and advisors in countries like Tanzania and Lesotho to drive broad-based unity.
We support African women from highly diverse backgrounds. Our target audience includes women currently holding or stepping into leadership positions, entrepreneurs and businesswomen looking to scale their enterprises, and women within rural and marginalized communities.
Our mentorship program is designed to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity by pairing rising African women and entrepreneurs directly with experienced, seasoned professionals and leaders who provide guidance and support.
AWOA is sustained through a combination of diverse funding sources, including corporate sponsorships, grants, and individual donations. We also generate internal revenue through conference fees, workshop registrations, and the sale of branded merchandise.
